What to Do: Choosing Your Game Mode

The very first thing you do is choose a game mode, which completely changes how you interact with the world:
• Survival Mode: You must harvest natural resources (like wood and stone) to craft specific blocks and items. You have a health bar and a hunger bar, and you must defend yourself against hostile monsters (mobs) that spawn at night or in caves.
• Creative Mode: You have access to an infinite supply of almost all blocks and items from the start. You can fly freely around the world, do not take damage, and do not have to worry about hunger, making it perfect for building massive projects.
